Charity objectives

Goenkaji directed that all 10-day meditation centres should run independently, so with these developments Dhamma Sukhakari will stop being a branch of the trust that runs Dhamma Dipa. Instead, a new charity (CIO-Charitable Incorporated Organisation) has been set up for the new centre. Its name is Vipassana Trust (Dhamma Sukhakari).

The objectives of the charity are:
To advance the teachings of the Buddha for the public benefit by

  • establishing, maintaining and running the Vipassana meditation centre called Dhamma Sukhakari.
  • providing courses in Vipassana Meditation as taught by S.N. Goenka in the tradition of Sayagyi U Ba Khin.
  • disseminating, promoting, providing for, or otherwise supporting meditation as taught by S.N. Goenka.
