Dhamma Bhanu,located to the north-west of Kyoto prefecture, is within easy reach of the major cities of the Kansai region: Kyoto, Osaka and Kobe. The centre lies 20 km from the town of Sonobe and 5 km from Mizuho.
From Kyoto city:
From Kyoto JR central railway station take the San-In line to Sonobe station (60mins) and then change for the JR bus to Hinokiyama bus terminus, Mizuho town ( 35mins).
A car from the centre will meet students arriving at designated times on the day of the course.
If you are traveling from other regions of Japan, it is easiest to proceed to Kyoto central railway station and from there follow the directions as indicated above.
If you are coming by car, please take route 173. The centre is close to the village of Hatta ( map ).
By train:
From Tokyo station: Shinkansen service is available to Kyoto station every 15mins. ( approx. 3hrs )
By air:
From Kansai Intl. airport: There are frequent shuttle coaches from the airport to Kyoto central railway station.
From Osaka Itami airport: Frequent local and express trains connect to Kyoto central railway station.
